About us

Professional and experienced

Massage for Babies was founded in 2002 as a baby massage training course provider for instructors.

The principal tutor is Sally Cranfield. Sally has been teaching infant massage to mothers since 1991. She is a qualified adult massage therapist who took up the gentle art of baby massage when her second daughter was born.

She spent 10 years teaching baby massage to mothers and carers before developing a teacher training course, specially for practitioners who prefer learning in small groups, hands-on with real mothers and their babies.

This course was accredited at the outset by an independent assessor from a leading complementary health organisation.

The content and quality of the baby massage training course is continuously reviewed and improved, based on feedback which is solicited from every student.

Frequent teaching contact with health professionals involved with infant mental health care, post-natal depression and attachment also feeds into Massage for Babies' baby massage training courses. She has provided baby massage workshops for childcare courses run by Babyem.

Sally Cranfield received her massage certification from ITEC (IPTI insured), her infant massage certification from GCP (now Embody CThA) and holds a City & Guilds adult training certificate.
